Luca Canali’s Wonderful Public Oracle-Related Materials

This is just a quick blog post to direct readers to treasure trove of public information offered by Luca Canali (of CERN).

Let there be no mistake. These are not just ordinary presentations. Many of them have detailed how-to information in the speaker notes to amplify the information in the slides. They fall into the class of must-read.

Enjoy, and thanks, to Luca!

    Hi Kevin,

thanks for posting this. BTW have you ever heard of OPERA — it’s a joint project between CERN and Gran Sasso labs, they are also using an Oracle database. Back in 2007 when I was working there, it was supposed to become the largest Oracle database in science. I wonder if they delivered that promise…

      Hi Nikolay,

      I didn’t know you were x-CERN. Cool.

I have heard of OPERA. I don’t know what became of it. Perhaps other readers will know something.

I think Netapp actually has an unbelievable amount of storage in at CERN.
